The tale of a little furry monster who lives inside a sock, and all the fun he has with his friends.
Stoy and illustrations by Katty Melnichenko
There was a little monster
Who lived inside a sock. Each morning when he woke up
He brushed his yellow fur.
He looked out through the window And put on his boots with dots.
It was a rainy country, Where the rain would never stop.
On Mondays, Tuesdays,
Wednesdays, He spent his time at work. He was a talented artist And really loved to draw.
Each Thursday he spent reading,
Each Friday stayed at home,
He loved the cosy weekend When all his friends would come.
They hated tea and coffee, They drank just orange juice, They spent their time playing
And dancing to the blues.
They were so quiet and tiny That people never saw them.
I think it is a pity That people were too busy.
Those furry little monsters
Knew many funny stories, They were all so adventurous, And dreamed of finding glory.
Theard they saw some pirates
And even swam the ocean. Once they saved a princess
From a big scary tiger.
I love those little monsters, They are good friends of mine. And now it’s time for orange juice
So I will say goodbye.
